The tour takes place on our extraordinary 100% electric rabelo boat – Dona Antónia, with only the sound of the water lapping against the hull and the birds chirping around us.
We sail along a fantastic stretch of the Dourado River, starting in Pinhão, with no national roads or road traffic on its banks.
We sail upstream and then downstream, stopping for a delicious and refreshing swim in the river, after which we offer you a glass of sparkling wine and dried fruit.
We see terraced vineyards stretching down to the river, and centuries-old buildings of wine estates—Bomfim, Carvalhas, Roeda, Ventozelo, Pessegueiro, Roncão, and Romaneira—in a unique landscape declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
We have a guide on board in Portuguese and English, and, if you wish, we provide free audio guide information about what we see on the tour in: Portuguese, French, English, Spanish and German, so you can listen comfortably and safely on your own cell phone.
