Every journey is unique and designed at your own pace, with a minimum duration of 2 hours.
We recommend heading upriver, passing through the village of Pinhão, as the terraced vineyards and wine estates unfold in layers of history and beauty along the slopes of the Douro Valley. For those with more time — around 6 hours — the route can extend as far as Ferradosa, passing the impressive Valeira Dam, where the Douro becomes wilder, deeper, and more dramatic.
Alternatively, the journey can be taken downstream, towards the town of Peso da Régua, crossing the Bagaúste Dam and revealing new perspectives of the Douro’s ever-changing landscape.
To make the experience even more special, we can add:
