Enjoy a pleasant and refreshing guided walk along the Pinhão River. We begin at our Magnífico Douro pier in Pinhão, passing through the charming village of Pinhão and continuing to the river’s weir. Here, you can take a short break and, if conditions allow, enjoy a swim in the calm waters. Afterwards, we walk back to the starting point.
The total distance covered is 4.5 km, with a low difficulty level, making it suitable for all visitors.
The Pinhão River rises at the Fonte de São João, in Raiz do Monte, parish of Vreia de Jales, in the municipality of Vila Pouca de Aguiar. It flows for approximately 30 km before joining the right bank of the Douro River.
